Skincare you can actually trust.
Rosee Skin is a privacy-first skincare app that analyzes your skin on your own phone, scores it honestly, and helps you understand what is really going on — without ever uploading your face.
Why Rosee exists
Rosee started from a simple frustration. Most “AI skin analysis” apps do two things that felt wrong. First, they upload your face — your most personal photo — to a company server to analyze it. Second, the scores feel fake: scan in bad lighting and you still get a confident, flattering number designed to keep you opening the app.
Rosee was built to fix both. It is the work of a small, independent team that cares more about getting the science honest than about juicing engagement. If a scan is not good enough to score, the app should say so — and your photo should never leave your hands.
How Rosee actually works
Transparency matters in skincare, so here is the method, plainly:
- On-device analysis. Your face is analyzed locally on your iPhone using computer vision and color science (including CIELAB tone measurement). The image is never sent to a server.
- Honest, confidence-checked scoring. Hydration, glow, texture, tone, dark circles and redness are measured from real surface signals — and the app shows “not enough data” when an image cannot support a reliable read.
- Real ingredient data. Product and ingredient checks draw on independent databases, not marketing copy — so a verdict reflects what is actually in the bottle.
What Rosee is not
This part matters. Rosee is an informational and educational tool — not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional care. Its scores and insights are not diagnosis or treatment. For anything medical — a changing mole, persistent painful breakouts, or any concerning symptom — please see a qualified dermatologist. Being honest about that limit is part of being a skincare app you can trust.
What we believe
Privacy is the architecture
Face scans run entirely on your iPhone. The photo never leaves your device — there is no server storing your face. Privacy is how the app is built, not a line in a policy.
Honesty over flattery
Rosee refuses to invent scores. When the lighting or input is not good enough, it says “not enough data” instead of guessing. A real number beats a flattering one.
Brand-neutral by design
Rosee does not exist to sell you one product line. Ingredient checks use real, independent data — so the advice serves your skin, not a sponsor.
